Michael J. Carron, M.D., originally from St. Louis, Missouri, is a board certified and CAQ interventional radiologist. Dr. Carron has practiced medicine in Southwest Florida for 22 years. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer and a practicing radiology physician with Radiology Regional Center in Fort Myers, Florida. Dr. Carron received both his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Missouri, Columbia. Upon completion of medical school, he served three years in the United States Navy as a medical officer. Dr. Carron joined Radiology Regional Center in 1984 and became a partner in 1986. He served as assistant managing partner from 1996 and in 2004 assumed the position of managing partner/CEO. Dr. Carron manages a staff of 30 radiologists and a total of 475 employees. Dr. Carron has served as Department Chairman, President of the Medical Staff and served a five year term on the Board of Trustees of Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center. He also served for 15 years on the Board of Trustees for The Canterbury School, a Fort Myers college preparatory school, and currently is a member of the Horizon Council of the Lee County Economic Development Committee.
