A FineMark Debit Card is a convenient way to make purchases, but a debit card is different than a credit card and there are some things you should know before using your card. Here are some of the most common questions we hear about debit cards.
Q. Does my Debit Card have a daily limit?
A. Yes, your daily limit for ATM withdrawals is $500 per day (24 hour period) and your daily limit for POS (Point of Sale) purchases is $1,000.
Q. Why is there a daily limit?
A. A limit is put on your Debit Card for your own protection in case your card is ever stolen.
Q. Can the daily limit on my debit card be raised?
A. Your daily limit can be increased if you know you will be making a large purchase. Please contact your banking representative if you’d like your limit raised.
Q. What if I’m traveling, do I need to contact FineMark before I leave?
A. Yes, please let us know if you will be traveling to prevent your card from being temporarily blocked. FineMark has fraud monitoring software and if it suspects a transaction is suspicious because it is far from home, it could temporarily freeze the card. Calling and letting us know before you travel will prevent this from happening.
Q. Where can I use an ATM without paying a surcharge?
