Joseph R. Catti, is Founder, Director, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of FineMark Holdings, Inc. and FineMark National Bank & Trust. Mr. Catti serves on the following Bank committees: Asset Liability, Investment Policy, Loan, Risk, and Trust. Mr. Catti is also a member of FineMark Bank and FineMark Holdings’ Executive committee and a non-voting member of the Audit and Compensation committees. He is a Florida native, a graduate of Florida International University, and has 40 years of banking experience.
Prior to founding FineMark, Mr. Catti served as President of Northern Trust, Lee County region, and was a member of the Northern Trust Board of Directors for the state of Florida. In addition, he served on the following committees for Northern Trust: Asset Liability, Investment, Loan, Southeastern U.S. Management, and Southeastern U.S. Marketing.
Mr. Catti is a member of The Florida Council of 100, an organization of business leaders who convene, research and execute on the state’s biggest challenges. Mr. Catti currently serves on the boards of Community Cooperative, Inc. (Soup Kitchen) – member of Finance committee; Cypress Cove – Chairman of Finance and Investment committees; Florida Gulf Coast University Financing Corporation – Chairman; Florida Gulf Coast University Foundation – Trustee, member of Finance committee and former Chairman; Lee Health Foundation – Chairman; and Lee Healthcare Resources – Chairman of Finance and Investment committees, member of the Executive committee; Board Member for Lee Health (the region’s largest hospital system) and Chairman of the Compensation and Performance committee. He formerly served as a member of the Finance and Audit committees for Canterbury School. In addition, he formerly served on the board of United Way of Lee, Hendry, Glades, and Okeechobee Counties – past Chairman 2009-2011. Mr. Catti is a former Trustee of Florida Gulf Coast University’s Board of Trustees and served as Chairman of a $100 million capital campaign for Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida in 2016.
Mr. Catti received Gulfshore Life Magazine’s Lee County Philanthropist of the Year award in fundraising, the Boy Scouts of America Distinguished Citizen of the Year award for Lee and Collier Counties, and Voice of the Year by Voices for Kids of Southwest Florida, Guardian Ad Litem. He was also selected as one of Gulfshore Life Magazine’s Men of the Year in 2010 and was inducted into Junior Achievement’s 2015 Business Hall of Fame for Lee County. In 2016, Mr. Catti received the Frank Haskell Humanitarian of the Year award from Lee Health Foundation and in 2020 was named a Mentor of Impact ™ from Earn to Learn FL for inspiring others through mentorship.
